Privacy - for facilities

StorerCheck balances storers’ privacy with the need for secure and profitable storage facilities.

To comply with privacy legislation, facilities must:

  • Have on display and give storers a StorerCheck Information Form when entering into a storage relationship.*
  • It is recommended you advise storers when a listing is pending by sending a Pending Listing Form.
  • Only enter factual details into the database.
  • Not enter defamatory or discriminatory information or comments.

A storer’s details should not be entered into the StorerCheck database unless the above conditions have been met.

Disputes regarding listings will be handled in accordance with StorerCheck’s Disputed Listing Policy.

For questions about this process, please contact legalsupport@selfstorage.com.au

* For members of the Self Storage Association, this is incorporated into your Privacy Document
